Great Drivers

Start with the Satori beryllium tweeter, add a 5" Audio Technology midrange and top things off with a 7.5" woofer that plays down to 33Hz with incredible power handling. The result is a combination that is sure to please.

Sensitivity

At 86dB sensitivity and 8-ohm impedance, the Song3 BeAT's are a very easy load for just about any amplifier. It doesn't require a large amplifier to produce a BIG sound. Just about any amp will do.

Reasonable Size

With a relatively narrow 9.5" wide front baffle and a height of 44.5", the Song3's are reasonable in size, yet will fill almost any room with great sound. Don't let their small size fool you...these speakers can rock!

Bass Performance

Despite the fact that they have a single 7.5" woofer, these speakers can dig the depths. Bass is extended to an F3 (-3dB down point) of 33hz...more than you would typically expect. And the woofer has great power-handling capabilities as well.

The Story

Great Pedigree

A customer once asked if we could build a pair of Song3's with a beryllium tweeter and an Audio Technology midrange. He called it the Song3 BeAT (beryllium and Audio Technology). Of course we could. But would we want to add it to our product line-up?

We finished this one-off design and sent it on. But over the months, we kept thinking about now nice it sounded. So we finally decided to build another pair and add it as a standard product. Any owner would be glad we did. It is super-smooth and just a tad more forgiving than the Song3-A's.

Frequency Response

Extreme Accuracy

Flat Response

As you can see in this frequency response plot, the Song3 BeAT design is extremely accurate with ruler flat response. You will hear the music EXACTLY as it was produced.

Phase Coherent

In addition to flat frequency response, the Song3 BeAT design is phase coherent in the crossover regions resulting in a speaker that images exceptionally well.
